Low-energy lightning with LED diodes – DIOS 24

At present, a lightning with high energy consumption is widely used, which is becoming more and more expensive. It is, therefore, necessary to streamline the light sources and reduce their energy consumption. One of the energy efficient sources of light are LED diodes, which use less electric energy while producing the same level luminosity. Typically, the LED diodes use 40 – 60% less of electric energy as compared to the conventional light sources. For this reason we have decided to start developing and manufacturing the lightning by using LED components. During the development and testing phase we have tried out several theories of lightning as well as powered sources, and then chose the most suitable ones.


The selection of lightning can be summarised and categorised as follows:

1. exterior lightning:
   street lightning, lightning of buildings, business establishments, parks, etc.
   
2. interior lightning:
   lightning of hallways and other business premises, offices, corridors, schools, etc.
   

Technical parameters

1. supply voltage 230V - 50Hz
2. output power ranging from 10W to 200W, and their multiples
3. lightning cover up to IP 65
4. in comparison with the conventional lightning products, our products have:
   1. lower electric energy consumption (by 40 – 60%) while emitting the same luminosity
      
   2. 50-times higher life-time (approximately 50 000 hrs as compared to the usual 1 000 hrs)
      
   3. and provide reduction of maintenance costs (the need for maintenance is lower due to the extended life-time)
      
5. other options:
   - a decreased power output after certain period of time
   - a gradual darkening (of luminosity)
   - a lightning powered by photovoltaic panels
   - a replacement of inner parts of the lightning for the LED lightning (depends on technical parameters)

The price of LED lightning depends on the following parameters:

the height at which the lightning is placed

the intensity of lightning

the distance between the panels (sources of light)
